Natchez blackberry is a thornless, floricane fruiting, erect to semi-erect blackberry suited for the fresh market.  It has large fruit, averaging 8 to 9 grams/berry.  It has good flavor, with soluble solids averaging 9.5%.  Yield is twice that of Arapaho in research trials; comparable to Ouachita.  Natchez ripens early, beginning around June 3 in Clarksville, Arkansas.  Fruit storage and handling is very good.
