Fort Laramie strawberry plant is extremely winter hardy, and does well in colder areas except Alaska (Alaska’s long days inhibit fruit production). Also not recommended in the South. Large, bright scarlet fruit with dark pink to scarlet interior. Firm sweet flesh is exceptionally aromatic. Good for eating fresh, freezing and preserves. Vigorous; produces lots of runners and very heavy crop. Somewhat susceptible to mildew.
